So since everyone is staying home at the moment, I thought I would make a post on what my daily quarantine routine looks like. Luckily, I’m not alone, I have Mamdouh with me keeping me company! We haven’t been flying now for 10 days and we finally have a good sleeping routine. We are eating regular meals at regular times and we have so much energy – the best thing to come out of this quarantine!
I normally wake up every morning around 8am and make some breakfast. The first few days we were making lovely omelettes and fried breakfasts, but now we’re a bit low on food so it is cereal, some pineapple and juice!
After breakfast, Mamdouh and I go on a morning walk around the car park! In our building, we have three levels of car parking so we walk around each of the floors just to stretch our legs and feel like we have got out for the day.
After we get back from our morning walk, I make myself an iced vanilla latte. I got the idea a while ago when I was in L’eto Cafe in Dubai Mall – coffee ice cubes with milk. It tastes so good and it is really easy to prepare. After I have made the coffee, I’ll drink it out on the balcony and then come inside and sit on my laptop for a few hours.
We both normally sit at the desk (or in ‘The Office’ as we like to call it) for a few hours on our laptop. I am normally blogging, reading the news, or watching YouTube Videos!
At midday, I normally join into Joe Wicks ‘The Body Coach’ live P.E lesson on YouTube. It’s such a great way to keep fit during this quarantine and it only takes up 30 minutes of your day. I usually work up quite a sweat, so after it’s finished, I’ll have a quick shower and then get changed.
Time for some lunch! We have been cooking almost every day, which has been really enjoyable. I’m not much of a cook, but together, we have been making some really lovely meals. We normally make a really big lunch and then only have a snack later on for dinner. Today, we made a shrimp soup with rice.
This is the time of the day when we don’t really know what to do with ourselves! After we’ve cleared up everything in the kitchen, we normally sit down and watch an episode or two of Netflix. We’re currently watching Ozark and it’s pretty good so far. I’m also loving Tiger King!
We then normally go back out to the balcony, have a snack and then watch the sun go down. It’s then time for a few games of cards or Jenga.
