A couple of days ago we received our very first roster! Such an exciting moment. The rosters were released up until the end of September, and as I finish training on the 24th September, I got to see where I will be heading for my first two flights.
KRT – Khartoum International Airport
My first flight will be a turn around to Khartoum International Airport in Sudan. I’ll be flying on the Boeing 777 and it is just a short 4 hour flight from Dubai. Hopefully that will break me in gently!
My second flight is a lot more exciting! I will be heading to Nice in France for a 24 hour layover. The flight is 7 hours and I will be flying on the Airbus 380. I’ve never been to Nice before so I’m really looking forward to exploring a new place. It should be lovely this time of year too, and I’m hoping to do a tour and maybe visit Monte Carlo!
The first two flights are known as supernumerary (‘Supy’) flights which are for new joiners. The best thing about them is that you get to sit in the cockpit for take off and landing!! How amazing will that be. I also wont have a position onboard as I will be observing and shadowing my colleagues.
All in all, I am very pleased with my first roster and have been busy researching things to do in Nice. I also can’t wait for next months roster to see my full schedule!
Thanks for reading.
